About
Jeff Gilbert is a trial attorney. His practice is focused on representation of individuals facing problems in family law and criminal defense. He also has an active general and family law mediation practice and serves as the Presiding Judge for the City of Angleton.

A native of Brazoria County, Texas, Jeff Gilbert maintains his office in the same building where his father practiced law when Jeff was a child. A 1978 graduate of Angleton High School. Jeff attended Baylor University graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and in 1984 with a Master of Business Administration. Jeff attended the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1989. While in law school, Jeff tried and won his first criminal jury trial while an intern with the Harris County District Attorney's office.
Following law school, Jeff accepted a position in the Trial Bureau of the Harris County District Attorney's office in Houston, where he tried multiple jury and nonjury cases as a juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony prosecutor. Jeff eventually left the District Attorney's office to join a prestigious Houston-based civil litigation firm. Since that time, his practice has concentrated on litigation with firms in Houston, Brazoria County, and Dallas, Texas. In January 2006, Jeff opened Jeff Gilbert Law Office. He regularly represents individuals in Family and Criminal Court proceedings and often serves as an Amicus Attorney representing children in litigation between their parents. Jeff also handles Wills and Probate matters and is qualified in Guardianship Proceedings.
